Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the DreamAmu app, published by Alex Champavert (France, contact alex.champavert@icloud.com). By creating an account or using the app you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. They apply in addition to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement; if they conflict, these Terms prevail to the extent permitted by Apple.

1. The service

DreamAmu is a dream journal and lucid-dreaming training app: journal, night plans and reminders, Lucid Dream Academy lessons, statistics, and AI dream analyses generated with OpenAI (only after you have accepted it in the app).

2. Age and account

• You must be at least 15 years old to create an account.
• You must give accurate information and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Delete Account.

3. Subscriptions (DreamAmu Pro)

• DreamAmu is free to use with limits (for example 3 AI analyses per week and the first Academy modules). DreamAmu Pro is an optional auto-renewable subscription (weekly, monthly or yearly) that unlocks unlimited AI analyses, the full Academy and additional features.
• Prices are set in the App Store and shown in the app before purchase, in your local currency.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the end of the period.
• Where a free trial is offered, it converts automatically into a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your iPhone’s Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions (or the App Store → your profile → Subscriptions). Deleting the app or your DreamAmu account does not cancel the subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple according to its policies (reportaproblem.apple.com). Use “Restore Purchases” in the app to restore an existing subscription.

4. Not medical advice

DreamAmu is for information, entertainment and personal development only. Dream analyses are generated automatically by artificial intelligence, may be inaccurate, and are not medical, psychological or therapeutic advice, diagnosis or treatment. Lucid-dreaming techniques (for example Wake Back To Bed) can affect your sleep: stop if they cause discomfort. If you have a sleep disorder, frequent nightmares, distress or any health concern, consult a doctor or a qualified professional. In an emergency, call 112 (EU) or your local emergency number.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the app for illegal purposes; try to access other users’ accounts or data; attack, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service or try to bypass the subscription or free limits; use the AI analysis to generate unlawful or harmful content; or resell the service. We may suspend or delete accounts that break these rules.

6. Your content

You remain the owner of the dreams and notes you write. You allow us to store and process them only to provide the service (including sending a dream’s text to OpenAI when you request an analysis and have accepted it). Your journal is private and is never shown to other users.

7. Intellectual property

The app, its design, texts, lessons, illustrations and brand belong to the publisher. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for private, non-commercial purposes.

8. Availability

We do our best to keep DreamAmu available and your data safe, but the service is provided “as is” and may be interrupted for maintenance, updates or reasons beyond our control. Features may evolve. We recommend exporting your data from time to time (Profile → Export Data).

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for indirect damages, loss of data, or decisions you make based on the content or AI analyses of the app. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (in particular for gross negligence, intentional misconduct, death or personal injury) or your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms; the date at the top shows the latest version and important changes will be announced in the app. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence. Before any legal action, please contact us at alex.champavert@icloud.com to find an amicable solution. As a consumer you may also use a consumer mediator free of charge. Otherwise the competent French courts have jurisdiction, subject to the mandatory rules that apply to consumers.
